So I got it roughed into shape...

I wrapped the styrene around the can and put the heat gun to it, shrinking most of the gaps and making a very tight grip around the can.

I did end up with a gap on the backside that I had to fill with a strip, but after a liberal dose of solvent it bonded nicely.

Here is a snap of it's final placement. You can also see that I added a small bracket moving the spare tire up just a bit. With the over-sized tire, it was crowding the rear bumper.

I got the steering servo mounted as well as finding a home for the LED assembly. I routed two 3mm LED to each side of the instrument panel and glued them in place (in the photo you can see I have a couple of small pieces of servo tape over them holding them in place while the glue dries).

The LED's to four lights up front were easy peasy, but the wires are woefully short going aft. I'll have to order some extentions or just solder in the extra wire to make the reach.

I ran the linkage (read; home brew coat hanger) up through the OEM steering column, attaching the linkage to the wheel at the top.

I'm inching closer to the end on this one.

The side mirror has been driving me crazy, sticking straight out I was sure it would look better pulled in at a different angle so I cut it off and added a button head screw.

Fully rotatable, much better.

I also tore down another driver and gave him the neck servo and loose arm joint treatment.

The head and tail lights are installed and wired up as well and crossed off my to-do list!
